Anti-Virus Software
Mac OS users:
For students using personally-owned Mac OS computers, Sophos has free Mac Anti-Virus software. Be sure to uninstall any other anti-virus program you may be using before installing Sophos Anti-Virus.

Windows 7 users:
For students using personally-owned Windows 7 computers, Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended for use. Be sure to uninstall any other anti-virus program you may be using before install Microsoft Security Essentials

Windows 8 users:
For students using personally-owned Windows 8 computers, Windows Defender is recommended for use, and is already included with the OS. If any other anti-virus software came with the computer, it must be uninstalled to enable Defender to start working. Windows Defender is similar to Microsoft Security Essentials, in that it's free for personal use, and you will never have to pay for updates.
