Data backup - preventing information loss

Computer systems traditionally come with one or more of the following internal devices: floppy disk, zip disk, CD R/W and/or DVD R/W.
These should be utilized to back up data on a regular basis. External devices available for backup include USB and FireWire (IEEE 1394) drives, pin drives, floppy disk and CD R/W.
Departmental server storage space in Morgan Hall can be leased at a cost of $550 per year for 50GB. For more information, contact Dave Scuffham (x3041) or Mona Hutchison (x2962).
