How to Update Adobe Acrobat Reader

Important Information

There is a security problem with earlier version of Adobe Acrobat Reader which could be exploited to take over control of your computer. You must update your Acrobat program to version 6.0.2 or higher.

  • If you are running version 6.x, follow the instructions below.

  • If you are running an old version (5.x or below), download and install Acrobat 6.x 
    then follow the instructions given below.

  • You can download Adobe Acrobat at this website:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
  • Click on Help, then Updates.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest update for Acrobat.
  • Your Acrobat program is updated if you receive the message
    “No additional updates are available”
